Family News 2018

This was a cold month in Louisville, we have had plenty of snow days. Luckily Notre Dame allows distance learning so that we do not  have make up days at the end of the year. So one of Jerrar's 10 distance learning assignments was to play a game of war with his family. We take all competition seriously! Learning numbers is so fun in Pre-K.

We also tried to enjoy the snow and do a little sledding but Lyla was not having any fun, she is a summer baby through and through.

Finding some indoor activities that everyone enjoys can be rough, usually our go to is the movies, but this month we chose to do a family paint night. It was fairly inexpensive since we all did a small canvas and just used a picture to assist instead of an instructor. This was probably Lyla's favorite family activity of all, but we all had fun. We will keep this in our list of options for another cold day. We also made it to the Kosair Circus. What can be more fun then face painting, pony rides, clowns and cotton candy?? Well looking at your cell phone if you're a teenager.

Lyla started swim lesson's this month, they were parent and child lesson's so Roc was there with her. She loves the water and is getting better every week. Junie has really gotten great at swimming, he is diving and swimming long distances without any assistance.

Easter arrived on the first of the month. The Easter bunny arrived with baskets full of treats and toys for the kids. They were very happy. And then we got dressed in our Sunday best for church at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church. It was a nice service and then there was a fun Easter egg hunt on the lawn for all the kids. Later that day we hosted an Easter celebration at our house with all of Roc's aunties and family. Everyone had a great time and I got to make my mom's famous deviled eggs recipe, which everyone loved.
